While at Cumberland, she was an ATLA National Trial Team Competition Champion and Regional Winner and was passionately drawn to pursue litigation.

Excelling in the nationally renowned trial advocacy program at Cumberland, Ms. Cochran was the first woman to win placement in the program. She went on to win in regional and national competitions and her success and ambition led to her career as a trial lawyer.
