A Georgia native, attorney Moneyham attained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia in 2003. Afterward, he completed his J.D from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007. During his time in law school, he served as the secretary of the Student Bar Association. In addition, he was a committed member of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, and the student representative on the Law School’s Executive Committee.

On completing his studies, Matthew R. Moneyham worked as a staff attorney at the South Carolina Court of Appeals, until he and his wife relocated to Birmingham where he joined Glenda Cochran Associates in 2010. At the onset of his career in private practice, attorney Moneyham understood that legal matters could be confusing and stressful to clients, and he has made it his mission to alleviate those burdens by any means necessary.
